About me

Tommy

Tommy's World is a personal project run by me, Tommy. Day to day I work as a filmmaker and content producer. Here I work with food, cocktails and visual content, with a focus on craft, flavour and clear explanations.

This site is a place for carefully made recipes, classic and modern cocktails, and articles that explain ingredients, techniques and the story behind what ends up on the plate or in the glass. There is less focus on trends and more on what actually works in practice.

All content is based on my own experience, testing and interest in the craft. Some of it is simple and everyday; some is more detailed and nerdy. The common thread is that the content should be honest, understandable and useful.

Tommy's World is for anyone who likes good food, good drinks and clear explanations — whether you cook at home, work with this professionally, or are simply curious.

The intention behind Tommy's World

The intention behind Tommy's World

The intention behind Tommy's World is to lower the barrier to using both old and new traditions in cooking and cocktails, in a down-to-earth way. Many classic techniques and flavours have been lost in the chase for the quick and easy, while new ideas can often feel unnecessarily complicated. Here the goal is to show that both can exist side by side.

Food does not need to be advanced to be good, and a cocktail does not need to be reserved for special occasions. With simple explanations, practical tips and an understanding of why things are done a certain way, it becomes easier to try for yourself, whatever your starting point.

Cocktails on Tommy's World are first and foremost about flavour, craft and experience. It is about treating yourself a little extra now and then — not about volume or pace. Alcohol is meant as an accent, not an end in itself, and is best enjoyed with calm and moderation. You can love good drinks without needing to fill the glass often.

The site is made to inspire better experiences around food and drink — without stress, without prestige, and with both feet on the ground.
